Youth Employability Project

Since 1998, CEED’S Youth Employability Project (YEP) has empowered clients to explore their interests and achieve their goals. YEP is an outreach program that helps youth gain access to educational, employment, and entrepreneurial resources in HRM.

If you are:

  • between the ages of 15 and 21
  • connected to income assistance, directly or through a parent
  • living in foster care or in a group home
  • a young person in need of help or guidance

YEP could be for you. Please contact us if you are unsure. Together, we will develop a program that works for you.

Our Youth Navigators are ready to help:

  • apply for or replace identification, such as a SIN card or Nova Scotia photo ID
  • connect you to education programs and other resources in your community
  • provide referrals for programs on parenting, life skills and mental health
  • apply for funding for transportation, school feeds and other needs
  • work with you to identify your goals and make a plan to achieve them
  • develop your entrepreneurial skills, like creativity and resourcefulness
  • prepare you for work and make sure you have the tools you need to be successful

and much more…
