Since 1998, CEED’S Youth Employability Project (YEP) has empowered clients to explore their interests and achieve their goals. YEP is an outreach program that helps youth gain access to educational, employment and entrepreneurial resources in HRM.

YEP could be for you if you are:

  • between the ages of 15 and 21
  • connected to income assistance, directly or through a parent, or are living in foster care or in a group home
  • a young person in need of help or guidance

Our Youth Navigators specialize in:

  • working with you to identify your goals and make a plan to achieve them
  • connecting you to education programs and other resources in your community
  • providing referrals for programs on parenting, life skills and mental health
  • applying for funding for transportation, school fees and other employment and educational needs
  • applying for or replace identification, such as a SIN card or Nova Scotia photo ID
  • developing your entrepreneurial skills, like creativity and resourcefulness
  • preparing you for work and make sure you have the tools you need to be successful
  • and much more!

From YEP clients:

“It’s been a life altering experience.”

“Helped to put me on track and apply myself.”

YEP Youth Navigators can help you develop a program that works for you. To learn more about YEP and whether or not you qualify, contact us today at yep@ceed.ca or call 902-209-3572
